Today we live in a society contaminated by generations of
intermarriage between races and societies from around the
world.  The nation of Israel, strongly influenced by the say is
a Jew by requiring proof of origin as being born of a Jewish
woman.  Such a person has the right of citizenship in the
nation of Israel.

Orthodox Jews use this criterion as the basis of their belief as
well, but in Israel there is contention about those who claim
to be Reformed Jews, who have a more liberal approach to
their religious beliefs.   Orthodox Jews would just as likely
reject the idea that Reformed Jews have a right of citizenship
in Israel.

Messianic Jews who are Jews by birth, even if both their
parents are Orthodox Jews, have been rejected outright to
any claim of being Jewish.  While the nation of Israel has
come to accept both Reformed and Messianic Jews, we
continue to see that Orthodox Jews, by their violence
towards these two groups, has yet to come to grips with the
idea that both Reformed and Messianic Jews are really Jews
and entitled to Israeli citizenship.

The issue of Jewishness is confused because King David, a
direct descendant of the tribe of Judah was also a descendant
of both Ruth and Rahab, neither of whom were Jews by
birth or heritage.  Abraham, naturally, was not a Jew, having
been born of Idol worshippers.  In all three cases of
Abraham, Ruth and Rahab, although idol worshippers by
birth and heritage, all became Jewish by faith, and
circumcision was of the heart.

Abraham was later circumcised in the flesh, but it was the
circumcision of the heart which was the main reason God
granted the Blessings and the Promises.

In the Messianic Covenant we see that people of all nations
are able to be grafted into the Jewish vine, even as Abraham,
Ruth and Rahab were.  Essentially this grafting makes of
many one body in the Lord.  The root is Judaism the
circumcision is of the heart by faith in the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

The Messianic Covenant makes it possible for all men [and
women] to be grafted into the Jewish vine, whether Jew or
Gentile, by passing through the Waters of Separation and
Purification [Mikvah – Baptism by immersion in the Name
of Yahshua the Messiah].

All such individuals have been sanctified and made holy unto
God.  Of the two, Jew and Gentile, the Messiah has made
one flock with only one Shepherd.  There is now only one
flock we are all one in the Lord.

The problem of identity lies in the fact that Gentile Believers
no longer act like they have been grafted into the Jewish
vine.  Mainly because their Pastors and Elders have not
taught them what God has mandated in His Scriptures,  the
written Torah.  They were taught to follow the traditions and
doctrines of the ancient religious practices of Egypt,
Babylon, Greece and Rome and in the keeping of these
pagan festivals of Satan.

Messianic Jews are those who recognize Yahshua as the
Jewish Messiah and worship Him in the keeping of the
Festivals of God, His Sabbaths, and His commandments.
This identification of Gentiles as Messianic Jews recognizes
that these Gentile Believers have been grafted into the Jewish
vine, by faith in the Son of God and who also keep the
commandments of God.

Of the two – Jew and  Gentile – God has made one Church,
a  Messianic Church which keeps the Word of God, and His
Festivals in the knowledge that Yahshua is the fulfillment of
the Law, the written Torah.

Who is a Jew?  The Apostle Paul says in Romans 2:29 that ,
“[H]e is a Jew, which is one inwardly, and circumcision is
that of the heart, in the Spirit, and not in the letter; whose
praise is not of man, but of God.”  In Galatians 3:29 Paul
says, “And if you are the Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s
seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

The movement of the Holy Spirit of God is calling us back to
the faith of the Apostles and Prophets of old and restoring
the Church on the foundation of our faith as found in the
written Torah, and in the keeping of the Lord’s Sabbaths,
and Holy Assemblies.

Yahshua the Messiah is coming soon.  We have very little
time left to raise up the Tabernacle of David and to prepare
the Church for the coming of the Lord.
